The family of late legendary American rapper, DMX released a statement denying the sale of ‘Earl’s Masters’ as rumored. The family also dispels the rumor that they are raising fund for the late rapper’s funeral.
The statement reads in part;
“There has been rumors following our loved one Earl Simmons, passing that we’d like to clear up. No one has bought Earl’s masters. Additionally, we are not selling any merch or raising money for Earl’s funeral. If anyone is requesting for money for his funeral, please be aware the person is a scammer.”
There was no specific date announced for the deceased funeral.
“We will keep the public posted on funeral/memorial service arrangements.” The family said in the statement released.
The family of the deceased announced his death in a statement release on Friday.
“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50years old at White plains hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.”

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons died on Friday 10th of April after a week of being hospitalized. He was taken to the hospital on April 3rd after suffering a heart attack which resulted from drug overdose.
DMX, is not just a rapper, he was also an actor who had featured in a number of hit movies. He was believed to have given birth to a unique kind of rap which inspired a new generation of rappers and musicians around the Globe.
One of such artistes is our own “Vector the Sniper”. Vector revealed on EN on Channels TV that DMX inspired him. He said most people condemn his rap for being too violent. Vector said DMX kind of rap unique an important especially because he is black in a seemingly foreign land.
According to Vector, if only the people who condemn DMX rap knew and understood what it feels for a black man whose ancestors were sold and forced into slavery, toil endlessly to become relevant in their adopted country. Vector said being angry is human nature therefore everyone is in one way or the other angry. This anger to his definitely reflects in everything we do.
The demise of the rapper shook the entertainment industry and musical space in particular. Most people believed that DMX was their voice and a force to reckon with.
DMX has a 4year old son with his girlfriend Desiree Lindstorm.
In honour of his death, she tattooed “Dog Love” on her arm. Dog Love is a title of one of DMX songs released in 2006. The tattoo is with an “X” which is in the same font the late rapper used on the album.
